Franklin & Marshall has a unique approach to the typical dorm living on campus. As describe on the website, The College House system provides “A New Social Landscape”.
College Houses alter the social landscape of the College. A College House creates an environment that is neither academic nor residential. This environment is sometimes called a “third space,” not classroom and not residence hall, but a comfortable and inviting hybrid and something more.
A College House models a way of living that makes for a rich and rewarding life: It supports a social landscape that integrates work, play, a critical approach to new ideas, and the belief that every moment holds the opportunity for discovery and personal satisfaction.
Diabetes Training Camp will be located in the New College House. The aptly named New College House is the latest addition to the Franklin & Marshall College House System. Designed in the Georgian revival style of Charles Klauder, a renowned architect who designed seven historic buildings on campus, the New College House boasts students from all four years as its members. Construction on the building started in 2009 opened in 2011. The New College House is the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building on campus highlighting the college’s commitment to sustainability.
Lancaster is conveniently located among several airports. Whether you are driving, flying or taking the train, we’ve got you covered. Please review the Franklin & Marshall website for all the specific details for travel.
